Boards for heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems are intended to accommodate equipment and circuit connections relating to one or more functions:

Power: comprising power circuits and their protections; sectionalising, cutting and signalling equipment; power command contactors; energy analysers with or without Intensity Transformers (according to the standards applicable to HVAC, whenever an equipment has a power ≥5kW in its power supply circuit, an energy meter must be installed in the panel).

Command: for controlling HVAC machines, generally comprising motor circuit breakers, contactors and relays.

Control: composed of centralised controllers and communication systems with the centralised technical management (GTC).

Signalling and Alarming: composed of sensor and alarm circuits, centralised signalling and communication systems with centralised technical management.
